Big news...

As of Septmeber 14th Landry has been on his mission for 8 months!! Yay!! He's doing really well and every week I get more and more excited to hear about the great things he's doing. He's such an amazing guy/missionary...I'm so proud of him. :)

His tie goes with the sunset...so cute.

Only 16 more months! (cute stickers huh?) I ♥ my missionary

My chart makes me so happy. Look how full it's getting! I was beyond excited when I got to fill in that first circle of the second section.

p.s. This is really random but on monday evening I went outside and started complaining because I was cold! My mom made fun of me because it was only like 75 degress. I am so pathetic and SO not looking forward to winter!

I ♥ September

...because it's my birthday. :) On September 8th I turned 20!! My birthday ended up being the day after Labor Day so I got to spend the long weekend celebrating with my family,it was super fun. I got some really great gifts but these were my favorites...

1.
Tim McGraw tickets!! The concert is on Oct. 23rd and I can't wait!! :)

2.(front) (back)
Elder Peterson sent me this super cute shirt from Alabama...he knows how much his girl loves baseball tee's. It's a little big but I love it!

3. And of course my free pazooki from BJ's. It was a good way to end my birthday. :)

p.s. One more reason why I love this month so much... One Tree Hill starts tomorrow! I'm a little nervous to see what it's going to be like with out Peyton and Lucas, but still SO excited!!

It's all coming back to me now...

If you see me driving and it looks like I'm singing at the top of my lungs...I am. Blame this beautiufl woman...

I just can't get enough of Celine Dion right now. She's all I listen to. I went to her show 2 years ago for my birthday and ever since I've been obsessed. (I've even got Landry to like/sing a few of her songs :)) She's just so amazing. I hope she comes back to Vegas soon because I'm dying to go to her show again! If you haven't been, I highly recommend it...she won't disappoint and pretty soon you'll be belting her songs too.

Summer '09...i miss it already

I can't believe summer is already over and it's time to go back to school! Yuck. If it wasn't for my dance classes I probably wouldn't be able to drag myself out of bed every morning. Here are the highlights of my summer...

1. Florida. I already talked about it, I know, but it was just too fun.

2. American Idol Concert! We had GREAT seats and even got autographs!... Umm yes I got Danny's. It was such a memorable night.

(sorry it's a bad picture...it's from my mom's phone because of course all of our cameras died in the middle of the concert!)

3. My favorite part of the summer was our Pinegar family reunion at Aspen Grove. It was so much fun to see almost all of my relatives. I hadn't seen alot of them in a long time and I loved just being able to hang out with all of them for a week. I can't wait to go again!

It was beautiful up there!

We had a good country filled day with "Frontier Night" and Emma's 9th birthday...cowboy theme. :)

I put a pretty big dent in that poor pinata

We all had to take pictures with this "wanted" sign. They were all pretty funny, but my dad and grandma were my favorite. (Good thing grandma doesn't have a blog..she would kill me for putting this up)

"Aspen Fallies"...big family compitetions. We got 2nd, but we know we deserved first.

The craft shack...

I made a cool Alabama belt for Landry. I was pretty proud of my self. :)

Joel and Val announced that they're pregnant with a boy!! Rider Erven Nelson will be coming at the end of January and we can't wait! :)

Grandpa Rex told his famous "Pinky the Elephant" story...he used to tuck all of us older kids in and tell that story to us at bed time. We all love it.

I LOVE MY FAMILY

Grandpa Rex and Miles

Grandma gave all the girls special white hangers to hang in our closets to remind us to keep our selves clean for the temple and we can hang our wedding dress on it someday.

Miles and Tate love being our chubby baby boys. We couldn't stop kissing and squeezing them all week.

This picture is actually from Thanksgiving (I'm not sure why we didn't take any together at Aspen Grove) but this is probably who I was most excited to see...my cousin Ana. I love her.

We love any chance that we can all get back together...since Derek and his family live on the other side of the country.

Yay for summer! I can't wait 'till next year. :)

What I love about sundays....

Sadie, Lucas, Quinen, Kenton, and Sydney. (We're missing cute Avery)

...my CTR 5 class. This summer I've done some traveling so I've missed a few Sundays and then today was Stake Conference so I didn't get to be with my class (except Sydney came and said hi to me :)) and I've realized how much I miss them. I love getting to see these adorable, hilarious, and sweet little kids every week...I always look foward to it. I'm so grateful for my calling. When I first got the calling I was super nervous but I knew that I would have fun with these sweet kids, but I never realized that I would love them as much as I do. They always make me laugh so hard, they keep me happy, and they even teach me new things. I love them and can't wait to see them next week. :)

I think his tractor's sexy

I'm obsessed with this picture right now. I stole it from Kathy's blog and put it as the background of my computer and now I'm devoting a whole post to it. I just think he's so funny...look at his face! Hahaha it's too perfect. That's what I love about him...just making a little face can make me laugh so hard. When I saw this picture I immediately thought of 2 songs; 1st was Jason Aldean's new song, "BIG GREEN TRACTOR" (the song that's playing right now) and then of course I thought of Kenny Chesney's song "SHE THINKS MY TRACTOR'S SEXY". Sorry this is so random but it makes me happy so I thought I would share it with "y'all".

...thanks for the great picture Elder Peterson and thanks for letting me steal it Kathy. :)

~Elder Peterson~

As of Tuesday 7.14.09 Landry has been serving his mission for 6 months!! I know it might not sound very long to some of you be for me it's a big milestone. 6 months = 1/4 which = 18 months until he comes home! :) It's a weird feeling having a missionary out. I miss him a lot but I also wouldn't want him to be anywhere else than in Alabama serving the Lord and changing people's lives. It's amazing what he does every day and I know I could never do it. He just has so much faith and strength and courage and every time I hear from him I see another quality that I want to strive to have. I heard someone refer to missionaries as angels...and that's truly what they are. They save people from whatever darkness they have in their lives and bring them the best gift possible. I am so proud to say that my best friend is a missionary. He's a hero to so many people...including me. I couldn't be more proud of him.

My chart is filling up! :)

Keep up the great work Elder Peterson. :)

FLORIDA ~ our sister's trip

Last week me and all my sisters went on trip to Florida to surprise my brother Derek. It was all his wife, Lindsey's, idea and I'm so glad she thought if it. Florida is absolutely beautiful and we all had so much fun just hanging out at the beach, spending time with Derek, Linds, our adorable nephews Nixon & Miles, and having our sis time. Here are some of the hundreds of pictures we took on our 5 day, super fun, Florida vacation!

*Warning: this is a very long post with tons of pictures.*

Our first full day there was 4th of July. If you don't know already... me and my family are quite patriotic, so 4th of July is always bound to be a big celebration. It was fun because we all got dressed in out red, white, and blue old navy gear (thanks mom) and headed to a small town parade. It was so much fun and kinda crazy, with all the different cultures there! We loved it.

Nixon putting his hand over his heart for "The Star Spangled Banner" Showing off our cute shirts that mom got for us

This reminds me of that vintage "I WANT YOU" poster. haha
"Save Our Sisters" float...we tried to get a picture in front of it, but it didn't really work

...being very patirotic...good job Nix

Yay for America!

A couple days later we went to the Billie Swamp Safari. It was pretty cool. We saw lots of animals and of course creepy alligators. (Lindsey, Nixon, and Miles stayed home for this adventure)

Out of all the crazy animals and gross reptiles we saw that day these big birds are what scared me the most. We're not sure why, but for some reason my initial reaction to seeing these birds was to scream and then push Brooke really hard towards thier cage. Wierd, I know. I guess you had to be there to understand, but we all thought it was pretty funny.

We went on a fan boat ride through a swamp to find some gators...it's absolutely crazy how close they got to the boat.
After admiring the HUGE alligators, we decided that we would eat some. That's right...I am eating some fried alligator! It was actually pretty good. (please excuse my hair...it was sooo hot there and I just threw it up without looking, embarrassing.)

BEACH TIME!! Clear, warm, clean water...just amazing. It was so fun to play with Nixon and Miles in the sand and the water. Nixon is so brave and just jumps in the water even if no one else is with him. Me and my sisters all did a night time stroll down the beach and of course we had to take some jumping pictures. It took a lot of tries but we finally got a good one.

Look at those cheeks on Miles! I just need to squeeze them! I love my babies.

Nixon loved the last little bit of my Pina Colada...he loved it so much that he decided to do his pirate face with the little umbrella.

night time...

I love Brooke

Finally! Haha I know, we're wierd and kinda embarrassing...but we love it.

We did so many fun things on this trip but to me, the best part was just getting to hang out with my gorgeous nephews. I love them so much.

A few weeks ago Miles slammed his finger in the door and while we were there he kept trying to put it in his mouth so Lindsey put a sock over his hand. Clearly Miles did not like this. It was sad but the picture is just too perfect...down the the coordinating pajamas, rug, and couch.

I hated saying goodbye...I didn't want to leave. I'm going to miss them more than I can even explain. :(

Thanks again Derek and Lindsey...we love you!
