I ♥ NY

As you can probably tell from my joy in this picture, Thanksgiving in New York was a dream come true. I've always wanted to be there for the Macey's Thanksgiving Day parade, pretty Christmas lights, and for boot/jacket weather to see all the cute styles...it was everything I had hoped for. We did so many fun things while we were there but I must say that the best part of my Thanksgiving week, by far, was just getting to spend time with my whole family. I'm the happiest when I'm with them and couldn't be more grateful to be a part of the Nelson family.

Rex Daniel Nelson...my favorite little brother.

I love my little brother so much. He is definitely crazy and sometimes annoying but he is the sweetest little boy you'll ever meet...I promise. He is so protective of his sisters and always wants big hugs from us. A few weeks ago we were sitting in church and I was freezing cold. I didn't have my dad there to keep me warm so I just started rubbing my arms and I leaned over to Rex and said "Gosh it's so cold in here." Right then Rex said "Oh here Paigiee take my jacket." I told him it was okay but he insisted and I ended up wearing my little brother's jacket for all of sacrament meeting. (He offered to let me take it for the rest of church but I wouldn't take it) Isn't that the sweetest thing ever?? Seriously, what little 11 year old boy cares more about his sister than himself that he gives her his jacket in an ice cold church? Rex does. That's just one of the many stories of him being a gentleman. Well I decided to devote a whole post to him because he just became M.J. Christensen student body president and we're so excited for him!! I can't believe how big he is now..thinking about it just kills me. After the first day of school this year he came home and told me and my mom that the best thing about 5th grade is that there are actually "hot girls" in his class and no one is immature about cooties and stuff. I about died when he said this because I have NEVER heard him talk about girls before. I said "Rex I hope you don't think that you can start liking girls now. Don't even think about kissing a girl or getting a girlfriend until you're home from your mission. Actually no...I probably won't even be okay it then. If you bring a girl over I'm going to be mean to her." (Yeah I know...I can be a brat sometimes). Rex just said "Paaaige I'm not ever going to kiss a girl...come on." and my mom just laughed and said "He's growing up Paige. Next year he'll be 12 and passing the sacrament and in junior high and whether you like it or not he'll be liking girls." When my mom said this I just looked at Rex and started crying. Yes I cried like a little baby while saying "I don't want him to grow up. He's just going to be my little sweet brother forever." Of course Rex just came and comforted me with a huge hug and said "It's okay Paigiee...I'll still be your little brother even when I'm married." It made me cry even harder. I know, I know this sounds like a movie or something but he really is just that sweet. My mom was totally inspired when she decided to name him after my amazing Grandpa. I'm so grateful that I have this angel as my little brother...I don't know what I would do with out him.

I love you Rexy Boy.

Disneyland 2009

This year's trip to Disneyland was extra special because it was Lily's 1st time! Naturally, she loved everything...especially seeing the princesses, and we just loved being with her. It was a super fun trip. :)

It was a long walk from our hotel so dad took the opportunity to teach his girls how to hitch ride...stick our your thumb and show some leg. Thanks dad I'll never forget that.

Cutest family in the whole park.

Pirates of the Caribbean

This is Lily's new little fake smile she loves to pull for pictures. She cracks me up!

N for Nelson. Mom, Rex and Nina all went to Disneyland for a week in September with my aunt and cousins so they stayed home while we all got a turn.

Dad helped his girl's out again by keeping Brooke's purse under his shirt on the wet rafting ride in California Adventure. He looked pregnant but he didn't mind...thanks again dad.

I ♥ my dad.

Yay for Disneyland! I can't wait to go again. :)

If you are/were a Michael Jackson fan go see this movie!!...simply amazing.

why, why, WHY...

do shoes have to be so expensive?? Seriously, it just breaks my heart when I find a beautiful pair of shoes and it is priced way out of my budget. That was the story of my life while shopping online yesterday...
$96.00
$182.00
$91.00
$91.00
$100.00
$91.00

And the biggest heartbreak...
$495.00

But the good news is that I worked reeeeally hard on my mid-term paper for history and finished it a week and a half early...so proud of myself. I'm going to DSW tomorrow.

my week...

~Remember those "Fortunately, Unfortunately" books that you read in Elementary school? Well I decided that format is the best way to describe my exciting week.~

SUNDAY:
Fortunately, me, dad, and Hayley were going to get to spend quality time together while Mom, Rex, and Nina went to Disneyland.

Unfortunately, I was up all night with an achey body, sore throat, and pounding head ache.

MONDAY:
Fortunately, I was still living from a terrible night.

Unfortunately, I couldn't lift my head or get out of bed.

Fortunately, my dad found some Tylenol PM so I could sleep the whole day.

Unfortunately, it didn't work.

TUESDAY:
Fortunately, I got my self out of bed, in the shower, and to school.

Unfortunately, I only made it through one class and came home.

Fortunately, I was able to sleep when I got home.

Unfortunately, I had an orthodontist appointment and got rubber bands, which caused even more pain then I was already in.

Fortunately, my dad brought home Samurai Sam's.

Unfortunately, he forgot to bring me some.

Fortunately, there was an Office marathon on.

Unfortunately, my mouth and head were throbbing the whole time I was watching it and I got a terrible fever.

WEDNESDAY:
Fortunately, I have a sweet sister who let me sleep with her, because she knows how I hate to be alone when I'm sick.

Unfortunately, her balcony door was a little bit open and a bug got in and decided to bite me 6 times and leave HUGE, ugly, super itchy, red marks.

Fortunately, I had a really comfortable, bug free, bed to lay in all day.

Unfortunately, I was alone again.

Fortunately, my dad brought me a delicious smoothie during lunch and mashed potatoes from KFC for dinner...perfect for a sick girl with sore teeth.

Unfortunately, I still had my raging fever when it was time for bed.

THURSDAY:
Fortunatley, I woke up fever-less and ready to go to school and work.

Unfortunately, I was a little out of it and grabbed a fully heated flat iron right on the metal part and burned my fingers.

Fortunately, I left for school only 5 mintues later than I should have.

Unfortunatley, my car was empty.

Fortunately, I had Celine to help me through the morning.

Unfortunately, I couldn't sing along because of my sore throat.

Fortunatley, I had really confortable Sinister sweats to wear on this cold/windy/sick morning. (Thanks Tandrea)

Unfortunately, I forgot my hand sanatizer.

Fortunately, mom, Rex, Nina, cousins, my aunt, and her friends were here when I got home at the end of the day.

... as you can see, it was kind of a tough week and I've decided I'm going to reward myself with a new pair of shoes. I think I deserve some. Don't you agree? Fortunately I'm going to up to Provo with Hayley to visit Brooke tomorrow. I miss her a lot and I'm way excited. Unfortunately it's Provo...and cold. Fortunately I don't have to live there...only visit for a few days. :)

Big news...

As of Septmeber 14th Landry has been on his mission for 8 months!! Yay!! He's doing really well and every week I get more and more excited to hear about the great things he's doing. He's such an amazing guy/missionary...I'm so proud of him. :)

His tie goes with the sunset...so cute.

Only 16 more months! (cute stickers huh?) I ♥ my missionary

My chart makes me so happy. Look how full it's getting! I was beyond excited when I got to fill in that first circle of the second section.

p.s. This is really random but on monday evening I went outside and started complaining because I was cold! My mom made fun of me because it was only like 75 degress. I am so pathetic and SO not looking forward to winter!

I ♥ September

...because it's my birthday. :) On September 8th I turned 20!! My birthday ended up being the day after Labor Day so I got to spend the long weekend celebrating with my family,it was super fun. I got some really great gifts but these were my favorites...

1.
Tim McGraw tickets!! The concert is on Oct. 23rd and I can't wait!! :)

2.(front) (back)
Elder Peterson sent me this super cute shirt from Alabama...he knows how much his girl loves baseball tee's. It's a little big but I love it!

3. And of course my free pazooki from BJ's. It was a good way to end my birthday. :)

p.s. One more reason why I love this month so much... One Tree Hill starts tomorrow! I'm a little nervous to see what it's going to be like with out Peyton and Lucas, but still SO excited!!

It's all coming back to me now...

If you see me driving and it looks like I'm singing at the top of my lungs...I am. Blame this beautiufl woman...

I just can't get enough of Celine Dion right now. She's all I listen to. I went to her show 2 years ago for my birthday and ever since I've been obsessed. (I've even got Landry to like/sing a few of her songs :)) She's just so amazing. I hope she comes back to Vegas soon because I'm dying to go to her show again! If you haven't been, I highly recommend it...she won't disappoint and pretty soon you'll be belting her songs too.

Summer '09...i miss it already

I can't believe summer is already over and it's time to go back to school! Yuck. If it wasn't for my dance classes I probably wouldn't be able to drag myself out of bed every morning. Here are the highlights of my summer...

1. Florida. I already talked about it, I know, but it was just too fun.

2. American Idol Concert! We had GREAT seats and even got autographs!... Umm yes I got Danny's. It was such a memorable night.

(sorry it's a bad picture...it's from my mom's phone because of course all of our cameras died in the middle of the concert!)

3. My favorite part of the summer was our Pinegar family reunion at Aspen Grove. It was so much fun to see almost all of my relatives. I hadn't seen alot of them in a long time and I loved just being able to hang out with all of them for a week. I can't wait to go again!

It was beautiful up there!

We had a good country filled day with "Frontier Night" and Emma's 9th birthday...cowboy theme. :)

I put a pretty big dent in that poor pinata

We all had to take pictures with this "wanted" sign. They were all pretty funny, but my dad and grandma were my favorite. (Good thing grandma doesn't have a blog..she would kill me for putting this up)

"Aspen Fallies"...big family compitetions. We got 2nd, but we know we deserved first.

The craft shack...

I made a cool Alabama belt for Landry. I was pretty proud of my self. :)

Joel and Val announced that they're pregnant with a boy!! Rider Erven Nelson will be coming at the end of January and we can't wait! :)

Grandpa Rex told his famous "Pinky the Elephant" story...he used to tuck all of us older kids in and tell that story to us at bed time. We all love it.

I LOVE MY FAMILY

Grandpa Rex and Miles

Grandma gave all the girls special white hangers to hang in our closets to remind us to keep our selves clean for the temple and we can hang our wedding dress on it someday.

Miles and Tate love being our chubby baby boys. We couldn't stop kissing and squeezing them all week.

This picture is actually from Thanksgiving (I'm not sure why we didn't take any together at Aspen Grove) but this is probably who I was most excited to see...my cousin Ana. I love her.

We love any chance that we can all get back together...since Derek and his family live on the other side of the country.

Yay for summer! I can't wait 'till next year. :)
